Best Buy LEGO 6953 Cosmic Laser Launcher Classic Futuron Space 1987 ***RARE***

Build a protective dome over the launchpad with a unique method of opening. Simply by rotating a knob, a rod activates a cam gear, which moves a toothed track attached to the top, where four hinges and two turntables allow the dome to open up, and raises the orbiter into the launching position at the same time. Very clever design.

Also construct two control stations, a manned orbiter with wings (one of the minifigs can be placed inside), and a ground support vehicle.

Two red LEGO Futuron astronaut minifigures are included. The red minifigs are very hard-to-find. Also included is a yellow suited astronaut. All three come with matching airtanks, helmets and visors. There is a radio and spanner for them to equip.

CONDITION: This set to be 100% complete with all 206 vintage Space building elements and minifigs in mint condition (slight yellowing on some of the lighter colored pieces due to UV exposure (sunlight). Otherwise, everything is shiny and pristine.

The full-color original instruction manual for 6953 is included in very rare mint condition.
